It's a perfect fit for the total immersion approach to learning - you learn together, live together, socialize together. Ivey is a community of classmates and friends, and a powerful network that begins in this exclusive setting and lasts a lifetime.

Ivey's mission is to develop business leaders who think globally, act strategically and contribute to the societies within which they operate. Ivey is a world leader in practical international management research and the development of innovative learning materials. Ivey consistently ranks among the top business schools in the world. It's the largest producer of case studies after Harvard Business School and leads the world in output of Asian case studies.

In 2006, the Richard Ivey School of Business will embark upon a new approach to management education called Cross-Enterprise Leadership™. The objective of Cross-Enterprise Leadership is to provide graduates with the skill and capacity to predict, analyze, strategize and act upon issues that span the entire enterprise, such as globalization, competition, productivity and innovation. In addition to this, the MBA program will be converted to a one-year program with two intakes - one in May and the other in October.

Cross-Enterprise Leadership is a marked departure from the traditional approach to management education, which emphasizes the teaching of functional disciplines (e.g. finance, accounting, marketing, and strategy) and matrix management (project-driven assignments).
